i installed wamp on system , worked on windows 8. later installed ubuntu alongside , since getting 503 service error on localhost. tried removing ubuntu , reinstalling windows 8 did not either. can tell me how rectify error?
left click wampmanager icon reveal menu-> apache -> service if start resume service menu item green apache running.
left click wampmanager icon reveal menu-> mysql -> service if start resume service menu item green mysql running.
if apache service not running normally, not always, because else has captured port 80.
now do, left click wampmanager icon reveal menu-> apache -> service -> test port 80 launch command window , display information what, if using port 80.
whatever should re-configured not use port 80 or uninstalled if not using it.
if port 80 not problem errors in appropriate error log ( use wamp manager menus view error logs )
if these not exists or show no errors check windows event viewer start -> administrative tools -> event viewer , in 'windows logs' -> application' section accessed menu on left of dialog error messages apache , or mysql.
how configure skype not require port 80 or 443
run skype using menus this: tools -> options -> advanced -> connection un-check checkbox next 'use port 80 , 443 alternatives incomming connections' restart skype these changes take effect.
how configure team viewer not require port 80 or 443 run tv extras -> options -> advanced -> press advanced button -> advanced network connections check checkbox saying [ dont use incomming port 80 (recommended web servers ) ]
