google maps api 3 - Is there anyway to know if a website contains KML file? -

i want know if website contains kml file(s). have read through of kml related questions here , understand kml xml file used google maps or google earth api mark geographic elements on "earth browsers".

but still want know if there google api or 3rd party api takes in website url , gives me answer has kml file or no kml file ?

can scrap or crawl whole website information? possible? correct me if wrong anywhere.
