mysql - Fulltext search, Bypassing word length & stop words? No access to config file -

i using fulltext searching avoid where column '%keyword%' , it's disadvantages. however, have run problem minimum word length setting (client's server set 4) , stop words. however, client's server not give me access mysql config. possible bypass word length and/or stop words somehow in sql statements?
